While it may not seem as important, the drip tip of an e-cigarette makes a huge impact on the overall experience of vaping. The material of the drip tip affects the taste significantly and can react with the vapor differently based on what it’s made of.

Today, we’re going to go over the features of different types of drip tips and how they’ll affect your overall experience. Not only will this guide help you make a decision, but it’ll also let you tailor the experience according to your preferences.

GLASS

The biggest advantage of glass drip tips is the incredible heat resistance they offer. Glass also has no impact whatsoever on the taste of the vapor letting you taste the vapor as it was meant by the manufacturer. While the plain transparent glass drip tips may not cost a lot, they’re really boring and the designed drip tips sell for a hefty amount. Regardless of the price, there are a lot of cool designs and textures to choose from.

WOOD

Other than the natural look, wood tips also offer impressive heat resistance. Because of its organic aesthetic, these tips are bound to go with any device really. However, the cheaper options don’t have the best finish, which can lead to warping of the wood and an adverse impact on the flavor. If it is treated well, then the taste may not be affected by warping but the treatment coating will definitely affect the taste.

METAL

Metal drip tips are not the greatest option. Not only do they affect the taste, but they also conduct heat very easily which means you can’t use them for high wattage chain vaping. Some metals don’t have an adverse reaction, such as titanium and gold, but these are bound to cost a lot of money. If you’re looking for options though then the metal is the route to go with stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass tips being available.

STONE

If you like the natural look of wood tips, then you’ll love stone drip tips. Besides the obviously natural and organic aesthetic, the absolute low conductivity of heat, along with the zero impact on flavor, makes stone drip tips the near-perfect option. While they may be on the more expensive side and not so easy to find, stone drip tips are sure to last for a while and maintain their quality and finish in the process. This is truly a great choice for the more taste-sensitive vaper.

HYBRID

Hybrid drip tips combine the above options into one to give you a mixed experience offering the best of the two or three materials the drip tip is made of. What most people don’t realize is that it’ll also bring the disadvantages of the materials being used.  A drip tip that has any metal will affect the taste regardless of the tip being made only partially of metal. The conducted heat will also affect the experience. The price might be an attractive feature, but it holds very little meaning if the experience of vaping isn’t any good.
