Five Remedies for Dark Spots Under Your Eyes

Dark spots can be a real bother when it comes to aging. They can be caused by factors as simple as fatigue and allergies, but can also come from other factors like pigmentation irregularities and genetics. Luckily, dark spots aren’t a major medical concern and only require a simple home remedy to fix. Here are five way to help you get rid of your dark spots or circles under your eyes!

Cucumbers

Finally, something the movies got right! Cucumber is great for dark spots because they contain antioxidants that are believed to help reduce irritation. They work especially well when they are chilled and then applied to the eye for 10-15 minutes. Another alternative is to mix cucumber and lemon juice, then apply that mixture to the eyes.

Milk

Something as simple as chilled milk can help to eliminate your lower eye problems! Put some milk on a cotton swab and dab it under the eyes for about ten minutes and then wash it off. Keep this up for about 6 weeks, and you’re sure to be rid of your nuisance!

Vitamin C

Unlike other vitamins, you do not have to put vitamin C on your face to help. Simply increasing your intake of the vitamin, through citrus fruits and leafy greens, will reduce the production of melanin in your skin, which helps your dark spots gradually go away!

Almond Oil

When dark circles arise, this means that your blood vessels are dilated. In order to constrict them, you need some almond oil! Almond oil has vitamin K, which helps to constrict the blood vessels. Vitamin K is also anti-inflammatory, so the dark circles and puffiness can’t help but go away!

Castor Oil

Castor oil is capable of curing various ailments and clearing scars and marks, dark spots included! You can either mix some of the oil with milk cream or apply the oil by itself to the eyes in circular motions. After consistent usage, your dark spots will be sure to fade.
