It’s said that the idea for dessert nachos came from chef Deb Schneider. Baja, Mexico isn’t a place where nachos are usually on the menu so Deb was asked by the owners of Sol Cocina, where she works, to add nachos to the menu. Instead of the chesse topped variety, she whipped up dessert style nachos called “Nachos Dulce,” which means Sweet Nachos. The rest is history.
