1. Baked Carrot Chips

  • 3 large carrots
  • 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/8 onion powder (or you can use garlic salt, cayenne, cumin or cinnamon instead for an added kick!)


  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Thoroughly wash the carrots and lightly peel the outer layer of skin off. Next, cut off and discard of the tips on both ends.
  •  Slice the carrots into circular-shaped pieces that are about 1/8 of an inch thick. You don't want the slices to be too thick or the chips will not be very crunchy.
  • After cutting all the carrot sticks into slices, place them in a medium to large-sized bowl. Pour the olive oil, salt and onion powder over the carrots. Then, toss the slices so they're evenly covered in the seasoning.
  • Place a sheet of parchment paper on top of a cookie sheet and then lay the carrots on top, forming a single layer of chips.
  • Bake the carrots for roughly 15 to 20 minutes or until the chips appear lightly toasted and crisp. Be sure to watch them periodically to make sure the chips do not burn.

  • A dash of salt and black pepper


  • Preheat oven to 425 °F.

  • Make a single layer of chips on the baking sheet.
