Almond Biscuit Ring Recipe

  • Brown sugar | 0.25 cup packed
  • Maple syrup | 2.00 tbsp
  • Margarine-like, vegetable oil-butter spread, reduced calorie, tub, with salt | 0.66 tablespoon
  • Drinking tap water | 0.33 fl oz
  • Almonds | 0.33 cup, ground
  • Biscuit dough, mixed grain | 8.00 oz

  1. In a 1 1/2 quart microwave safe casserole, combine the brown sugar and the replacement is maple syrup, margarine and water .
  2. Cover with a paper towel and microwave on high for one minute .
  3. Allow to sit, covered for one minute, then stir to mix in the melted margarine.
  4. Stir in the almonds.
  5. Cut each of the biscuits into four pieces.
  6. Roll each piece into a ball
  7. Dip each piece into the syrup mixture then place in a microwave safe ring mold .
  8. Arrange all coated balls uniformly around the ring mold
  9. Pour any remaining syrup over the balls in the mold
  10. Microwave on medium (50% power) for 5 to 6 minutes, turning the mold 1/4 turn after each two minutes, until biscuits are cooked through
  11. Remove from microwave and immediately cover with waxed paper
  12. Allow to sit undisturbed 5 minutes; then turn out onto a serving dish.
