Ingredients

  • Brown sugar | 0.25 cup packed
  • Red wine vinegar | 0.25 cup
  • Onions raw | 0.50 cup, chopped
  • Apple(s) without skin, raw | 2.00 large 3-1/4" dia
  • Orange peel, raw | 1.00 tbsp
  • Ginger root, raw | 3.00 tsp
  • Spices, allspice, ground | 0.50 tsp

Instructions

  1. Core the apples and then chop them.
  2. Blend all the ingredients in one go in a saucepan. Mix well.
  3. Bring this mixture to boil. Lower the heat and cover. Let your Apple Chutney boil for 40 minutes at a low flame.
  4. Remove the cover and let it continue cooking for a 2 minutes longer. The idea is to allow extra fluid to go away.
  5. Let this mixture sit in the fridge for 2 weeks, then serve alongside your favorite meals.
