  • Rolled oats cereal, whole wheat, rice, presweetened, maple flavored, with pecans | 0.50 cup
  • Brown sugar | 0.50 cup packed
  • Salt | 0.25 tsp
  • Spices, cinnamon, ground | 0.75 tsp
  • Granulated sugar | 2.00 tbsp
  • Apple(s) without skin, raw | 5.00 medium 3" dia
  • Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, unbleached | 0.33 cup
  • Butter without salt | 4.00 tbsp

  1. Core and slice the apples.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly butter up an 8 by 8 inch baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the apples with the cinnamon, granulated sugar and 1/8 teaspoon of salt. Transfer this to the baking dish.
  4. Now in the same large bowl, throw in the flour, brown sugar, oats and finally the last 1/8 teaspoon of salt. Mix in some chunks of butter with your fingertips for a few minutes.
  5. Lightly shower the topping uniformly over the apples and bake it 1 hour approximately. Basically, right until your apples soft and your oatmeal, crispy.
  6. Allow it to cool on a rack for 30 minutes prior to serving.
