Ingredients

  • Apple(s) without skin, raw | 1.00 medium 3" dia
  • Spices, nutmeg, ground | 0.25 tsp
  • Spices, cinnamon, ground | 0.50 tsp
  • Onions raw | 1.00 large
  • Cranberries, raw | 4.00 oz
  • Hazelnuts | 2.00 oz 21 whole kernels
  • Bread crumbs, dry | 4.00 oz
  • Egg, whole, raw | 1.00 medium
  • Bacon | 0.75 package 6 oz

Instructions

  1. Grate the apple and onion; finely chop the hazelnuts; dice the bacon.
  2. Fry onion till soft, in butter and add spices, apple and cranberries. Fry for a few minutes and stir in breadcrumbs, hazelnuts and egg. Divide the mixture in two equal portions.
  3. Add a little butter to a pan and fry bacon. Take one portion of mixture and mix in the bacon.
  4. Pack both the portions in separate ovenproof dishes, dotted with butter. Take out turkey from the oven and place potatoes on top of stuffing; bake for 30-40 min.
