  • Self-rising enriched wheat flour | 0.13 cup
  • Powdered sugar | 1.50 tbsp unsifted
  • Butter without salt | 3.00 tbsp
  • Granulated sugar | 2.00 oz
  • Drinking tap water | 1.00 fl oz
  • Apple(s) without skin, raw | 2.75 cup slices
  • Whole wheat, rolled oats, presweetened, with pecans, cereal | 0.25 cup 1 NLEA serving

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F/gas 5.
  2. Put the apple slices into a pan with granulated sugar and water.
  3. Cook over a low heat for 5 minutes and place in a small ovenproof dish.
  4. Place the flour and oats in a bowl, mix well. Cut butter into small cubes and add it the oats and flour.
  5. Mix with your fingertips until it resembles an even crumby texture. Add powdered sugar and mix through.
  6. Cover the fruit with this crumby mixture. Bake for approximately 20 minutes until the crumb is golden.
  7. Serve immediately.
