Ingredients

  • Apple(s) without skin, raw | 1.00 cup slices
  • Ready-to-bake pie crust | 1.00 pie crust average weight of 1 baked crust
  • Spices, cinnamon, ground | 0.50 tsp
  • Spices, nutmeg, ground | 0.25 tsp
  • Egg, whole, raw | 4.00 small
  • Granulated sugar | 0.33 cup
  • Salt | 0.25 tsp
  • Whole milk | 2.00 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at a temperature of 400°F.
  2. Mix together the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, add in the apples and toss to coat. Make a layer at the bottom of the crust with the apple mixture.
  3. Whisk the eggs, vanilla, sugar and salt. Add in the milk and beat well.
  4. Make another layer of this mixture over the apple mixture.
  5. Place on the wire rack to bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Leave on the rack after baking to cool completely.
  7. Serve with cream or ice cream.
