Ingredients

  • Apple(s) without skin, raw | 1.00 large 3-1/4" dia
  • Instant Oats, dry, cereal | 1.00 cup
  • Spices, cinnamon, ground | 0.50 tsp
  • Salt | 1.00 dash
  • Unsweetened canned apple juice with added ascorbic acid | 1.00 cup

Instructions

  1. Chop the apple into bite-size chunks .
  2. Be sure to remove the core (the part with the stem and seeds) .
  3. Combine the apple chunks, oats, cinnamon, salt, and apple juice in a microwave safe bowl .
  4. Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap .
  5. Be sure to leave a little opening for the steam to get out .
  6. Microwave on high for 2 minutes .
  7. Use pot holders to remove the bowl from the microwave because it may be hot .
  8. Stir and let cool for 1 minute before serving.
