- Rinse the leeks and then thinly slice it, rinse again and then drain it; peel, core and finely chop apple. Now put together leek, rice, broth and cider in a medium sauce pan. Heat pan, bring to boil, and stir once.
- Lower down heat and cover; cook for 40 minutes. Add apple at the top and then again cover and simmer for 5 minutes until the liquid is absorbed. Put the pan away from heat and cover for about 5 minutes.
- Scatter over the pecans and serve.
