- Place the sago (tapioca pearls) and milk in a pan, bring to the boil and cook for 8 minutes.
- Leave to cool.
- When cold, beat in the eggs, sugar, nutmeg, cloves and honey.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C, 350°F,gas 4.
- Heat the butter in a pan and fry the apple until soft.
- Place the apple in a souffle dish and fill the dish with the sago mixture.
- Place the dish in a baking tray half filled with hot water and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
