Ingredients

  • Parmesan cheese, shredded | 0.50 cup
  • Spices, pepper, black | 0.25 tsp, ground
  • Lemon juice, raw | 2.00 tsp
  • Garlic, raw | 2.00 Tbsp
  • Onions raw | 0.50 cup, chopped
  • Butter without salt | 3.00 tbsp
  • Artichokes, globe or french, raw | 3.00 can
  • Cheese substitute, mozzarella | 0.50 cup, shredded
  • NABISCO RITZ Crackers | 1.00 cracker 1 NLEA serving
  • Butter without salt | 1.50 oz

Instructions

  1. Mince the garlic cloves.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 inch casserole dish slightly; keep away for later.
  3. Drain the artichoke hearts completely and chop up: keep away for later.
  4. Melt 3 tbsp butter in a skillet and sauté the onion and garlic until the onions are semi-transparent.
  5. Put in the artichoke hearts/ lemon juice and the pepper. Stir thoroughly. Empty out into the prepared casserole dish.
  6. Dust with the parmesan cheese and part-skim mozzarella cheese.
  7. In a bowl, blend together the cracker crumbs and 3 tbsp melted butter; mix well.
  8. Sprinkle the buttered cracker crumbs over the casserole.
  9. Place in the oven for about 30-35 minutes. Your Artichoke Casserole is ready to be devoured!
