Ingredients

  • White mushrooms raw | 1.00 cup, pieces or slices
  • Onions raw | 1.00 large
  • Margarine, regular, hard, soybean hydrogenated | 2.00 tbsp
  • Beef broth cubes | 5.00 cube
  • green onions tops | 1.00 stalk
  • Pearled barley, cooked | 1.00 cup

Instructions

  1. Sauté mushrooms and onion in margarine.
  2. Combine sautéed vegetables and barley in a greased 11/2 quart casserole dish.
  3. Add enough broth to cover one-half inch above barley.
  4. Cover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
  5. Sprinkle with green onions before serving.
