- Preheat broiler to High. Wash fish; pat dry.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Heat butter in an oven - proof broiling dish (such as Pyrex) under broiler until melted, remove.
- Place fish in dish and turn to coat with butter. Sprinkle with paprika and place dish in oven 5 inches from element.
- Cook 2 to 8 minutes, depending on thickness of fish, until fish flakes easily with a fork.
