Ingredients

  • Baking chocolate, unsweetened, squares | 2.00 square
  • Butter without salt | 0.75 cup
  • Granulated sugar | 1.00 cup
  • Egg, whole, raw | 6.00 small
  • Low sodium baking powder | 0.50 tsp
  • Salt | 0.50 tsp
  • Dried walnuts | 1.00 cup, chopped
  • Cake wheat flour, enriched | 1.00 cup unsifted, dipped

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan heat chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted.
  2. Remove from heat.Cool, then mix in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Sift flour and baking powder and fold in the liquid mixture.
  4. Finally add chopped walnuts and mix.
  5. Spread in a greased and lightly floured 8x8x2-inch baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 C) for 30 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly; cut into 2-inch squares.
  8. Makes 16 brownies.
