  • Apples, raw, with skin | 2.00 cup slices
  • Rolled oats cereal, whole wheat, rice, presweetened, maple flavored, with pecans | 1.50 cup
  • Milk, nonfat, skim, with vitamin A and D | 5.00 tbsp
  • Maple syrup | 0.50 cup
  • Granulated sugar | 6.00 oz
  • Margarine-like, vegetable oil spread, 20% fat, without salt | 0.33 cup
  • Lemon juice, raw | 2.00 tbsp
  • Spices, cloves, ground | 0.25 tsp
  • Powdered sugar | 2.00 tbsp unsifted

  1. Preheat the oven at temperature of 350*F. In a pan, melt the spread along with milk, sugar and syrup. Grease the 7-inch shallow square tin. Place 2/3 of the mixture into a tin. Cook in oven for about 20 minutes.
  2. At the same time, put apples in a saucepan along with cloves, powder sugar and lemon juice and then cook until thick and pulpy.
  3. Spread apple over cooked oat. Place the remaining oat mixture at the top and again cook for about 20 minutes.
  4. Let cool before cutting into 12 fingers. Ready to serve.
