Ingredients

  • Almonds | 0.50 cup, ground
  • English walnuts | 0.50 cup, chopped
  • Baking chocolate, unsweetened, squares | 0.50 cup, grated
  • Powdered sugar | 0.50 cup sifted
  • Dates, deglet noor | 0.50 cup, chopped
  • heavy whipping cream | 0.50 cup, whipped
  • Egg, white, raw | 3.00 large
  • Blanched almonds | 2.00 oz

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites in a large bowl until firm and whitish.
  2. Add sugar slowly in portions and beat further till firm peaks occur.
  3. Add chocolate, dates, almonds and walnuts. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Grease and line a round cake tin with depth of 9-inches. Pour the batter in it.
  5. Bake at 180 C/ 350 F/ Gas Mark 4 for 35-40 minutes until the surface of cake turns golden.
  6. Allow to as per the room temperature on a wire shelf.
  7. Set it in a serving platter. Carefully decorate with whipped cream border and sprinkle almonds.
