  • Orange juice, raw | 3.00 tbsp
  • Powdered sugar | 1.00 cup sifted
  • Egg, yolk, raw | 1.00 large
  • Orange peel, raw | 2.00 tbsp
  • Spices, cinnamon, ground | 0.50 tsp
  • Granulated sugar | 4.00 oz
  • Self-rising enriched wheat flour | 0.75 cup

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F. Take a bowl and sift flour in it then add butter and mix well. Stir in cinnamon, orange peel, sugar and egg yolk and make soft and even dough. Slightly knead the dough then roll it finely.
  2. Using 6 cm long circular cutter, cut 24 biscuits. Remove middle from every biscuit. Then put the biscuits on well brushed baking trays. Place in oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes till they are golden. Take them out and place on a wire rack to cool.
  3. For garnishing and decorating the rings take a bowl and mix powdered sugar with orange juice till clear and smooth. Cautiously cover top of biscuits with icing and scatter orange peel on it. Let it set
