Ingredients

  • Kumquats, raw | 4.00 fruit without refuse
  • Dried pine nuts | 1.00 oz 167 kernels
  • Commercially prepared whole wheat bread | 4.00 slice
  • Lettuce, green leaf, raw | 7.00 oz
  • Lemon juice, raw | 1.00 tbsp
  • Lemon peel, raw | 1.00 tbsp
  • Olive oil | 3.00 tablespoon
  • Mustard, prepared, yellow | 1.00 tsp
  • Garlic, raw | 1.00 Tbsp
  • Salt | 1.00 dash
  • Spices, pepper, black | 1.00 dash

Instructions

  1. Lightly toast the nuts, thinly slice kumquats, tear salad leaves into bite-size pieces, remove crust of bread slices, crush garlic clove.
  2. Take a large bowl, put salad leaves and mix them well.
  3. Toast the bread slices on both sides and add to salad bowl along with kumquats.
  4. For dressing, put together lemon peel and juice, oil, mustard, garlic and seasoning in a jar then shake well.
  5. Put the dressing over salad and toss.
  6. Serve!!
