- Lightly toast the nuts, thinly slice kumquats, tear salad leaves into bite-size pieces, remove crust of bread slices, crush garlic clove.
- Take a large bowl, put salad leaves and mix them well.
- Toast the bread slices on both sides and add to salad bowl along with kumquats.
- For dressing, put together lemon peel and juice, oil, mustard, garlic and seasoning in a jar then shake well.
- Put the dressing over salad and toss.
