  • Whole milk | 2.00 cup
  • White potatoes, raw | 4.00 lb
  • Drinking water | 2.00 cup 8 fl oz
  • Cabbage, raw | 5.00 cup, shredded
  • green onions tops | 1.00 cup chopped
  • Salt | 1.00 dash
  • Spices, pepper, black | 1.00 dash
  • Butter without salt | 0.25 cup

  1. Peel and quarter the potatoes.
  2. Boil cabbage and water in a large saucepan. Reduce the heat. Cover the pan and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until tender.
  3. Drain the contents, saving the cooking liquid. Keep cabbage warm.
  4. Pour the cooking liquid with potatoes in a large saucepan. Add enough additional water to cover the potatoes and boil.
  5. Reduce heat and lid the pan. Cook for 15-17 minutes or until tender. Drain and keep warm.
  6. Boil milk and onions in a separate saucepan. Remove from heat.
  7. Mash potatoes in a big bowl. Add milky mixture and beat. Now add in the cabbage, salt and pepper. Drizzle with melted butter, bacon and parsley.
