Ingredients

  • Cream of tartar | 1.00 tsp
  • Baking soda | 0.50 tsp
  • Salt | 0.50 tsp
  • Powdered sugar | 0.12 cup sifted
  • Egg, whole, raw | 1.00 medium
  • Reduced fat milk with added vitamin A and D | 8.00 fl oz
  • Olive oil | 1.00 tablespoon
  • Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, calcium-fortified | 1.00 cup

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs and set aside.
  2. Take a mixing bowl; sift flour, baking soda, salt, sugar into it and make well in the middle. Mix to a smooth batter with the half of milk and half beaten egg. Add remaining milk and oil to beat gradually.
  3. Lightly grease a heavy frying pan or griddle and heat it up. Drop spoonfuls of batter on hot surface when bubbles form flip and cook till top is lightly burnt. Cook another side, turning with palette knife until golden brown. Serve Drop Scones Recipe with butter.
