Ingredients

  • Egg, whole, raw | 1.00 small
  • Butter without salt | 5.50 tbsp
  • Spices, cinnamon, ground | 1.00 tsp
  • Granulated sugar | 0.50 cup
  • Salt | 0.50 tsp
  • Baking powder | 1.00 tsp
  • Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, unbleached | 1.00 cup
  • Whole milk | 0.50 cup
  • Apple(s) without skin, raw | 1.00 medium 3" dia

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie pan. Set aside
  2. In a medium bowl, thoroughly whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a bowl, mix ¼ of the sugar with the cinnamon. Set aside.
  4. Now, with an Electric Mixer, whisk the butter with the other ¼ cup of sugar until it is perfectly mixed.
  5. Add in the flour mixture in 3 three goes. After each go, add in some milk and beat it well.
  6. Pour out half the batter in the baking dish. Cover the batter with the apple slices.
  7. Lightly shower the apples with the cinnamon mixture. Let this bake for 30 minutes. It is meant to be golden and the apples should look cooked from the ends.
