Ingredients

  • Beans, fava, in pod, raw | 2.50 cup
  • Parsley, raw | 0.25 cup chopped
  • Onions raw | 1.00 medium 2-1/2" dia
  • Garlic, raw | 8.00 cup
  • Cilantro, Fresh, Chopped | 0.25 Cup
  • Leeks, raw | 0.50 cup
  • dried coriander leaf | 1.00 tsp
  • Baking soda | 0.50 tsp
  • Drinking tap water | 1.00 tbsp
  • Salt | 1.00 dash
  • Spices, chili powder | 0.25 tsp
  • Spices, cumin seed | 0.25 tsp powdered
  • Spices, allspice, ground | 0.25 tsp
  • Sesame seeds, whole, dried | 0.50 tbsp
  • Oil, sunflower, linoleic less than 60% | 5.00 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Dice the onion, crush garlic cloves and set aside.
  2. Wash and rinse fava beans, then soak in water for 8 hours (change the water time by time), then rinse again and drain off.
  3. Take a mixing bowl, add all vegetables with beans, mix them well and put in a food processor or a blender, process on it two times or three until completely light and smooth.
  4. Mix baking soda with water and add to the mixture with spices. Combine well. Make small pate (3 cm) from falafel dough, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  5. Take a frying pan, heat up oil and fry pate in batches for 3 minutes or until good golden in color. Serve now with salad or in sandwiches individually.
