Ingredients

  • Olive oil | 2.00 tablespoon
  • Onions raw | 1.00 medium 2-1/2" dia
  • Garlic, raw | 3.00 Tbsp
  • White rice long grain enriched, raw | 1.00 cup
  • chicken broth canned, reduced sodium | 2.00 cup
  • Spices, thyme, dried | 0.50 tsp, ground
  • Spices, bay leaf | 1.00 1 whole
  • Parsley, raw | 0.25 cup chopped

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the onion.Mince the garlic.Put the oil in a skillet and saute the onions& garlic until golden.
  2. Add rice, broth, thyme & bay leaf. Bring to a boil uncovered, turn heat to low cover and simmer about 25 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed, give a little stir after 15 minutes.
  3. Remove bay leaf & stir in the parsley.
  4. Serve.
