Ingredients

  • Apricot nectar, canned, without added ascorbic acid | 1.00 cup
  • Dried apricots, uncooked | 0.75 cup, halves
  • Maple syrup | 0.50 cup
  • Lemon juice, raw | 2.00 tbsp
  • Apple(s) without skin, raw | 8.00 cup slices
  • Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, calcium-fortified | 3.00 tbsp
  • Spices, cinnamon, ground | 1.00 tsp
  • Spices, ginger, ground | 0.50 tsp
  • Spices, cardamom | 0.50 tsp, ground
  • Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, calcium-fortified | 0.75 cup
  • Quick Oats, Dry, cereal | 0.50 cup
  • Pecans | 0.50 cup, chopped
  • Canola oil | 0.25 cup

Instructions

  1. Chop the apricots.
  2. In a large bowl, combine nectar, dried apricots, 1/3 cup honey, 1/4 cup maple syrup and 2 tbsp lemon juice; set aside. Arrange apples in an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish.
  3. Combine 3 tbsp flour, cinnamon, ginger and cardamom; stir into the apricot mixture. Spoon over apples.
  4. Combine remaining flour, oats, 1/2 cup pecans, oil, 1/4 cup maple syrup; sprinkle over fruit. Bake at 350°F for 50-60 minutes or until topping is golden brown and fruit is tender.
