Ingredients

  • Canola oil | 1.00 tsp
  • Onions raw | 1.00 small
  • Beans, snap, green, raw | 2.00 cup 1/2" pieces
  • Drinking tap water | 0.50 cup 8 fl oz
  • Pork, cured, bacon, raw | 2.00 slices
  • Hazelnuts | 0.13 cup, chopped
  • Salt | 0.25 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook, stirring, until starting to brown, 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  2. Add beans and cook, stirring often, until seared in spots, 2 to 3 minutes. Add water; cover, reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes for tender-crisp or 6 minutes for tender.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in bacon, hazelnuts and salt.
