Ingredients

  • Reduced fat milk with added vitamin A and D | 1.00 cup
  • Butter salted | 1.00 tbsp
  • Low fat yogurt | 1.00 cup 8 fl oz
  • Whole grain wheat flour | 1.50 cup
  • Powdered sugar | 1.50 tsp
  • Salt | 1.00 tsp
  • Yeast, baker's, active dry | 1.00 tbsp
  • Low sodium baking powder | 0.50 tsp

Instructions

  1. Slightly heat the milk to make it warm, add yeast and sugar to it. Stir and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Sieve flour with salt and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Pour dissolved yeast and yogurt.
  3. Mix well into a soft dough. Dust your kitchen counter with some flour and knead it upon the counter until elastic and smooth.
  4. Put it covered in a greased bowl for 3-4 hours until risen.
  5. Knead again on a dusty counter then divide it to form 12 balls. Roll each of them into flat and oval shape.
  6. Heat a greased griddle or frying pan with oil. Carefully place one or two bread ovals at a time and cook until golden from below.
  7. Take out in a platter and spread butter on uncooked side then grill until golden.
  8. Serve hot!
