Ingredients

  • Granulated sugar | 1.50 cup
  • Drinking tap water | 1.00 cup 8 fl oz
  • Lemon juice, raw | 1.50 cup
  • Ginger ale | 2.00 can or bottle 12 fl oz

Instructions

  1. In 1-quart saucepan, cook sugar and water over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature.
  2. Stir in lemon juice. Store mixture in tightly covered nonmetal container or jar in refrigerator.
  3. For each serving, in tall glass, mix 1/2 cup chilled mixture and 1/2 cup ginger ale. If desired, add ice.
