Ingredients

  • Lemon peel, raw | 1.00 tsp
  • Egg, whole, raw | 1.00 small
  • Goat milk, with vitamin D | 0.13 cup
  • Low sodium baking powder | 1.00 tsp
  • Lemon juice, raw | 1.00 lemon yields
  • Butter without salt | 3.50 oz
  • Powdered sugar | 0.50 cup unsifted
  • Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, calcium-fortified | 1.50 cup

Instructions

  1. Beat egg and keep it aside. Heat oven at 325° F. Use butter to grease baking trays. Take a bowl and add sugar, lemon peel and butter, blend it well until fluffy. Add lemon juice and egg after frequent intervals, beating it continuously.
  2. Blend in the baking powder, flour and milk to make the dough soft.
  3. Take out the dough on floured surface and make 50 pieces equally.
  4. Make sausage shapes out of the pieces and twist them at the middle to make the ‘S’ shape. Put them on baking trays and bake for at least 20 minutes. Take them out to cool. Sprinkle icing sugar and serve.
