  • Granulated sugar | 0.75 cup
  • Whole milk with added vitamin D | 2.50 cup
  • Egg, whole, raw | 1.00 medium
  • Egg, yolk, raw | 1.00 large
  • Lemon peel, raw | 2.00 tsp
  • Lemon juice, raw | 0.50 cup
  • Butter without salt | 1.00 tbsp

  1. In a medium saucepan, mix sugar and cornstarch together. Stir in milk until well blended. Do not put the saucepan on heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk egg and yolk until slightly beaten then stir into the milk mixture in saucepan.
  3. Put the saucepan over medium heat and cook while stirring constantly until thick and bubbling.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in lemon peel, juice and butter.
  5. Pass through a strainer then spoon into individual serving bowls. Garnish with mint, lemon slices, blueberries, whipped cream, or anything you like.
