Ingredients

  • Garlic, raw | 1.00 Tbsp
  • Carrots, raw | 1.00 medium
  • Onions raw | 1.00 medium 2-1/2" dia
  • Celery, raw | 1.00 stalk, medium 7-1/2" - 8" long
  • Bacon and beef sticks, pepperoni | 3.00 slice
  • Vegetable broth | 4.00 cup
  • Lentils raw | 1.00 cup
  • Canned tomatoes, stewed | 3.50 cup

Instructions

  1. Dice the tomatoes first. Clean and cook the bacon and set aside. Heat the pan again; add garlic, carrot, celery and onions cook until tender. Add vegetable broth and tomatoes and bring to a boil. Now add lentils and let it simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. Season with thyme, oregano and basil. Crush the bacon and sprinkle over it.
  2. Serve and enjoy Lentil and Bacon Soup at once.
