Ingredients

  • Drinking tap water | 6.00 cup 8 fl oz
  • Brown rice, medium grain, raw | 0.50 cup
  • Chicken broth, powder | 3.00 cube
  • Spices, oregano, dried | 4.00 tbsp
  • Ground chicken, raw | 8.00 oz crumbled
  • Tomatoes, green, raw | 1.00 medium
  • Onions raw | 0.50 slice, medium 1/8" thick
  • Egg, whole, raw | 1.00 medium
  • Salt | 0.50 tsp
  • Carrots, raw | 0.50 cup chopped
  • Celery, raw | 0.50 cup chopped
  • Broccoli, raw | 0.50 cup chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine water, rice, bouillon cubes, and oregano.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Stir to dissolve bouillon.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer.
  5. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix ground meat, tomato, onion, egg, and salt.
  6. Form into 12 large meatballs.
  7. Add meatballs to broth mixture and simmer 30 minutes.
  8. Add vegetables.
  9. Cook 10 to 15 minutes or until meatballs are cooked and rice and vegetables are tender.
  10. Serve hot.
