Old Fashioned Fudge Recipe

Ingredients

  • Cornstarch | 1.00 tsp
  • Salt | 1.00 dash
  • Light corn syrup | 0.25 cup
  • Baking chocolate, unsweetened, squares | 1.00 square
  • Whole milk with added vitamin D | 1.00 cup
  • Butter without salt | 0.25 cup

Instructions

  1. Combine corn starch, salt, sugar, corn syrup, chocolate and milk in a heavy saucepan and cook over low heat until well blended.
  2. Cook to 238 degree F, stirring frequently.
  3. Remove from heat and add butter. ( DO NOT STIR ).
  4. Cool to room temperature.
  5. Add vanilla extract, beat until firm.
  6. Pour onto buttered platter.
  7. Serve immediately or chilled
