  • Whole grain wheat flour | 1.00 cup
  • Powdered sugar | 1.00 tbsp unsifted
  • Low sodium baking powder | 2.00 tsp
  • Orange peel, raw | 2.00 tbsp
  • Spices, ginger, ground | 0.50 tsp
  • Milk, nonfat, skim, with vitamin A and D | 0.50 cup
  • Egg, whole, raw | 1.00 medium
  • Oat bran, raw | 0.50 cup
  • Margarine, regular, hard, soybean hydrogenated | 3.00 tbsp

  1. Make a zest from orange peel and preset oven to 425*F.
  2. Take a large bowl; add flour, oat bran, sugar, grated orange peel, ginger and baking powder. Combine them. Add the margarine and fold into flour mixture.
  3. Take a small bowl now; add egg with milk, whisk and add to dried mixture. Use parchment paper to cover a baking sheet, drop spoonfuls of scones batter on sheet and make 10 scones evenly.
  4. Place in oven and bake for 12 minutes then remove from oven and serve hot to all.
