Ingredients

  • Frozen green peas | 10.00 oz
  • Whole milk with added vitamin D | 2.00 cup
  • Self-rising enriched wheat flour | 1.00 tbsp
  • Butter salted | 2.00 tbsp
  • Salt | 0.25 tsp
  • Spices, pepper, black | 0.50 tsp, ground
  • Spices, nutmeg, ground | 0.50 tsp
  • Parsley, raw | 0.25 cup chopped
  • Onions raw | 1.00 small

Instructions

  1. Set out a 1-1/2-qt. saucepan.
  2. Break apart frozen peas with a fork and set aside.
  3. Put into blender container in order, 1 cup of milk and flour , butter , salt , nutmeg , pepper and quartered onion.
  4. Cover , turn on motor and blend.
  5. Continue to blend while gradually adding one-half of peas. Use rubber spatula to scrape down sides of container so that ingredients will become evenly mixed.
  6. Blend until contents of container into saucepan.
  7. Pour second cup of milk into container. blend while gradually adding remaining peas.
  8. Stir contents of container into mixture in saucepan.
  9. Bring it to boil stirring occasionally.
  10. Serve immediately, topped with parsley.
