  • Orange juice, raw | 0.25 cup
  • Medjool dates | 1.00 cup pitted and chopped
  • Whole grain wheat flour | 2.50 cup
  • Baking soda | 0.50 tsp
  • Baking powder | 0.25 tsp
  • Egg, white, raw | 2.00 large
  • Applesauce, canned, unsweetened, without added ascorbic acid | 0.25 cup
  • Maple syrup | 3.00 tbsp
  • Olive oil | 0.50 tsp
  • Lemon juice, raw | 2.00 tbsp

  1. Combine honey, orange juice and lemon juice in a small bowl; stir in dates; set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 13*9*2-inch baking pan with foil. With cooking spray, coat the foil lightly. Set aside.
  3. Put together baking powder, baking soda and flour in a large mixing bowl. Combine applesauce, oil, maple syrup and egg whites in a small bowl. Mix together both mixture. Use electric mixer to mix the mixture on low to medium speed just until combined. Stir in date mixture. In prepared pan press the mixture evenly.
  4. Bake the mixture for 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Using foil, lift cookies from pan. Cut them into bars.
  5. Serve.
