Ingredients

  • Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, unbleached | 1.75 cup
  • Low sodium baking powder | 1.00 tsp
  • Baking soda | 0.25 tsp
  • Spices, nutmeg, ground | 0.25 tsp
  • Salt | 1.00 dash
  • Canned pumpkin | 0.75 cup
  • Olive oil | 3.00 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar | 2.00 tbsp packed
  • Granulated sugar | 2.00 tsp
  • Spices, cinnamon, ground | 0.25 tsp

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. In a small mixing bowl combine the pumpkin, oil, and brown sugar.
  3. Add pumpkin mixture to dry mixture, stirring with a fork until combined.
  4. Form into a ball.
  5. Line a large baking sheet with foil.
  6. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
  7. Knead dough gently for 10 to 12 strokes.
  8. Divide dough in half. Roll each half to a 10-inch circle.
  9. Cut each circle into 8 wedges.
  10. To shape, begin at the wide end of each wedge and loosely roll toward the point.
  11. Place point sides down, about 2 inches apart, on the
  12. prepared baking sheet.
  13. Curve ends of rolls slightly.
  14. Combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over crescents.
  15. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 400 degree F, for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  16. Serve warm. Makes 16 rolls.
