Ingredients

  • Apples, raw, with skin | 3.00 medium 3" dia
  • Seedless raisins | 0.25 cup, packed
  • Drinking tap water | 1.00 fl oz
  • Brown sugar | 0.37 cup packed
  • Spices, cinnamon, ground | 0.12 tsp
  • Lemon juice, raw | 1.50 tsp
  • Margarine-like spread, BENECOL Light Spread | 2.00 tablespoon 1 NLEA serving
  • Salt | 1.00 dash
  • Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched | 0.75 cup

Instructions

  1. Wash, pare, core and slice apples thinly.
  2. Mix with raisins.
  3. Place in a greased casserole, add cinnamon, salt, lemon juice and water.
  4. Work sugar, flour and margarine (fat) together to form crumb like consistency.
  5. Spread over apple and raisin mixture.
  6. Bake in pre-heated oven at 380 degree for 55 minutes or untill the topping is golden brown.
