  • Drinking water | 1.00 cup 8 fl oz
  • Parmesan cheese, shredded | 1.50 cup
  • Peppers, sweet, red, raw | 0.50 cup, chopped
  • Egg, whole, raw | 4.00 small
  • Salt | 0.50 tsp
  • Fresh basil | 1.50 tbsp, chopped
  • Butter, light, stick, without salt | 8.00 tbsp
  • Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, calcium-fortified | 1.00 cup

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper and keep aside.
  2. Pour water in a 2-quart saucepan; add butter, stir and let cook until it begins to boil. This will take 6-8 minutes.
  3. Turn heat to low, stir in flour and salt. Keep stirring the mixture vigorously until it begins to combine into a ball and leaves sides of pan.
  4. Remove from heat, add eggs, one at a time and mix after every egg. When mixture is smooth, stir in a cup of cheese, sweet pepper and basil.
  5. Without wasting time, drop the batter on prepared baking sheets with a spoon. Sprinkle quarter teaspoon of cheese on each of them.
  6. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until golden-brown in color.
  7. Serve warm!
