Ingredients

  • Drinking tap water | 1.50 cup 8 fl oz
  • Canola oil | 1.00 tbsp
  • Mustard seed, ground | 1.00 tsp
  • Cashew nuts, raw | 0.13 oz
  • Lime juice, raw | 1.00 fl oz
  • Cilantro, Fresh, Chopped | 1.00 oz
  • Peppers, jalapeno, raw | 1.00 pepper
  • Spices, turmeric, ground | 0.25 tsp
  • Salt | 0.25 tsp
  • White rice, long grain, cooked | 1.00 cup

Instructions

  1. Remove the seeds off the jalapeno pepper and then mince it. Take a small skillet, heat the oil in it at a medium heat. Then add the mustard and cook a while. Lower down the heat, put the cashews in the skillet and cook for 30 seconds or until golden brown.
  2. Put the pan away from the heat, and then add the lime juice, coriander, jalapeno chili, turmeric and salt. Combine the mixture with the cooked rice, toss well to combine.
  3. Serve 'Rice Pilaf' as a main dish.
