Ingredients

  • Tomatoes, red, raw | 4.00 medium whole 2-3/5" dia
  • Garlic, raw | 1.00 Tbsp
  • Onions raw | 0.25 cup, chopped
  • Canola oil | 2.00 tbsp
  • Bread crumbs, dry | 0.33 cup
  • Spices, pepper, black | 0.50 tsp, ground
  • Fresh basil | 1.00 tbsp, chopped
  • Spices, oregano, dried | 3.00 tsp, ground
  • Parsley, raw | 1.00 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Cut tomatoes in half, chop parsley and set aside.
  2. Put tomatoes on foil-lined baking tray. Spread with canola oil. Take a small bowl now; add red onion, pepper, garlic and bread crumbs. Stir and combine the ingredients. Spread the mixture on cut sides of tomatoes.
  3. Preset oven to 350*F. Roast tomatoes for 40 minutes or until become tender. Sprinkle with herbs on top of tomatoes and serve hot at once.
