Ingredients

  • Crushed tomatoes | 14.00 oz
  • Brown sugar | 1.00 tbsp packed
  • Spices, cumin seed | 1.00 tsp powdered
  • Garlic, raw | 2.00 Tbsp
  • Onions raw | 1.00 medium 2-1/2" dia
  • Tomato paste, canned without salt | 1.00 tbsp
  • Fresh basil | 1.00 tbsp, chopped
  • Shrimp, raw | 1.00 lb
  • Salt | 1.00 dash
  • Spices, pepper, black | 1.00 dash

Instructions

  1. Crush garlic cloves and finely chop the onion then keep them aside.
  2. Heat oil in a wok, stir fry garlic and onion for 3 minutes. Add cumin seeds and stir-fry for a minute.
  3. Add tomato paste, crushed tomatoes and basil. Give it a boil then let simmer for 10 minutes on low flame.
  4. Put shrimps in the wok and adjust seasoning. Cook for 3 minutes on high flame.
  5. Bring out in serving plates to serve hot!
