Ingredients

  • Garlic, raw | 8.00 Tbsp
  • Butter salted | 0.25 cup
  • Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched | 0.25 cup
  • Fresh basil | 1.00 leaves
  • Salt | 0.13 tsp
  • Spices, pepper, black | 0.13 tbsp, ground
  • Chicken broth, soup, dry, prepared with water | 1.50 cup 8 fl oz
  • Cream, sour, cultured | 1.00 tbsp
  • Chives, raw | 0.25 tsp chopped

Instructions

  1. Crush and mince the garlic cloves then cook in melted butter in a heavy saucepan until golden brown, stir constantly.
  2. Stir in flour, crushed basil leaves, salt and pepper; heat until it begins to bubble.
  3. Gradually add chicken broth while stirring constantly, bring to boil then cook for a minute.
  4. Serve hot or cold, topping each serving with drop of sour cream and chives!
