Ingredients

  • Ground Turkey, fat free, raw | 1.00 lb
  • Tomatoes, red, raw | 4.50 cup, chopped or sliced
  • Sweet Green peppers, raw | 1.00 cup, chopped
  • Onions raw | 1.00 cup, chopped
  • Garlic, raw | 2.00 Tbsp
  • Spices, oregano, dried | 1.00 tsp, ground
  • Spices, pepper, black | 1.00 tsp, ground
  • Cooking spray | 0.50 spray , about 1/3 second 1 NLEA serving
  • Spaghetti | 2.00 Cup

Instructions

  1. Spray a large skillet with non-stick spray coating and preheat over high heat.
  2. Add turkey; cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes and drain fat.
  3. Stir in tomatoes with their juice, green pepper, onion, garlic, oregano, and black pepper.
  4. Bring to boiling, reduce heat. and Simmer, covered for 15 minutes stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove cover; simmer for 15 minutes more. (For a creamier sauce, give sauce a whirl in a blender or food processor.)
  6. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions and drain well.
  7. Serve sauce over spaghetti with crusty, whole-grain bread.
