Special Creamed Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients

  • Cheddar cheese | 0.75 cup, shredded
  • Potato, skin, raw | 4.00 medium
  • Drinking tap water | 1.00 cup 8 fl oz
  • Salt | 1.00 tsp
  • Whole milk with added vitamin D | 0.50 cup
  • Spices, pepper, black | 0.13 tsp, ground

Instructions

  1. Grate Cheddar cheese and set aside.
  2. Wash, pare and dice potatoes, and chop the onions.
  3. Bring water and salt to boiling in a saucepan, add potatoes with onion.
  4. Cover and cook 10 min. Uncover and continue cooking slowly until almost all the water is evaporated.
  5. Turn occasionally and mash gently with a spoon.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Blend in grated cheese, milk and pepper.
  8. Heat and stir until cheese is melted.
  9. Sprinkle some cayenne pepper on top if desired.
  10. Serve Hot.
