  • Onions raw | 1.00 large
  • Carrots, raw | 3.00 medium
  • Spices, chili powder | 0.50 tsp
  • Yogurt, plain, whole milk | 0.67 cup 8 fl oz
  • Fresh basil | 20.00 leaves
  • Orange juice, raw | 1.50 cup
  • Orange peel, raw | 1.00 tsp
  • Lemon juice, raw | 2.00 tbsp
  • Tabasco | 0.25 tsp
  • Salt | 1.00 dash
  • Spices, pepper, black | 1.00 dash

Instructions

  1. Firstly, finely chop onions, peel and grate the carrots.
  2. Now in a sauce pan, place the onions, carrots, orange peels, orange juice and chili powder then bring to boil.
  3. Cover and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Cool the mixture and process in a blender until smooth.
  5. Now take the mixture out in a bowl, add yogurt and tear basil leaves in this dip.
  6. Mix well; add lemon juice, season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve at room temperature.
