- Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder and spices.
- In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light.
- Beat in the eggs then drained canned strawberries.
- Slowly beat in dry ingredients, alternating with milk until batter is smooth.
- Pour batter into lined cupcake molds and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool the cupcakes, decorate with strawberry frosting and serve.
