Ingredients

  • Beans, lima, canned, regular pack | 1.00 can 303 x 406
  • Balsamic vinegar | 1.00 tsp
  • Parsley, raw | 1.00 tbsp
  • Fresh basil | 1.00 tbsp, chopped
  • Spices, pepper, black | 1.00 dash
  • Olive oil | 1.00 tablespoon
  • Onions raw | 1.00 small
  • Garlic, raw | 1.00 Tbsp
  • Drinking tap water | 0.33 cup 8 fl oz
  • Tomato paste, canned without salt | 1.00 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse lima beans, crush garlic clove, finely chop the onion then set all of them aside.
  2. Take a medium saucepan, heat olive oil in it and saute onion at low heat until soft then put garlic to cook for another minute.
  3. Add water, beans and tomato paste. Heat to give it a boil, keep stirring occasionally, cook for about two minutes.
  4. Now add parsley, vinegar and basil and stir to combine them completely. Add black pepper to taste and give it a stir.
  5. Serve it over toasted bread.
